Most people who fly to Guatemala go straight to Antigua. Once through Customs at the Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City we can have a driver with a sign with your name waiting for you as you exit the airport that will take you directly to your hotel in Antigua.
Shuttle between GUA and Antigua cost US$15 per person. Travel time is about 45 minutes depending on traffic.
There are three shuttles to Antigua:
- Reserve shuttle from GUA to Antigua:
- 6:30 a.m.
- 10:30 a.m.
- 2:30 p.m.
If your flight arrival doesn't coordinate with the times above we will be happy to either get you a private van for $US50 or a hotel in Guatemala City (from $ to $$$) and we can pick you up the next day. Also, if you have a group of four or more a private van is less expensive than a shuttle. You can use the form below to book a private van.
To catch your return flight we can pick you up at your hotel in Antigua and take you to the airport.
- Reserve shuttle from Antigua to GUA:
- 4:00 a.m.
- 7:30 a.m.
- 9:30 a.m.
- 12:30 p.m.
- 6:30 p.m.
We can take you anywhere in Guatemala but most trips include a visit to Lake Atitlan and Chichicastenango on market day. As Chichi (as we call it) is a short detour off the main road between Antigua and the lake we have shuttles on Thursdays and Sundays that stop in Chichi for a couple of hours.

Note: On Thurs. & Sun. – you can go from Antigua to Chichicastenango for the market then on to Panajachel.
Guatemala's best beach is in Monterrico, about two and a half hours from Antigua.
